Born in Al Ain on March 11, 1961, the third son of Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Fatima bint Mubarak Al Khatbi.
1961-71: Educated at the Rabat Royal Academy in Morocco
1971-77: Studied in Al Ain and Abu Dhabi schools
1978 – Studied at Godonston International School in Scotland
9 1979- Graduated from Sandestal Royal Military Academy in the UK
∙ 1990- In the UAE Army in the Air Force. Became a key link in cooperation with the United States on security issues
∙ 1993- Became Chief of Staff of the UAE Army
-2003 – Deputy Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi
∙ 2004 – Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed’s brother becomes President of the UAE and Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi after the separation of his father Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed.
∙ 2004- Chaired the Chairman of the Emirates National Identity Authority.
∙ 2005- Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the UAE Army
