Abu Dhabi: To address non-payments of wages by large workers groups, employers and employees alike, a new committee was established in the UAE. Monday’s announcement by the Ministry of Human Resources and Indigenization was that it has formed a committee to investigate collective labor disputes regarding financial rights of workers aged 50 and older. The UAE cabinet had already taken the decision. Khalil Khoury is the Acting Undersecretary of Human Resources Affairs at MoHRE.

He stated that the committee’s creation was in accordance with the legislation and the organizational structure for labor disputes, in line the law governing labor relations and its executive rules. To ensure that labor disputes are resolved quickly, create a system that protects the rights of both sides. In the presence of both workers’ and employer representatives, the committee will resolve any labor or financial disputes. https://u.ae/en/information-and-services/jobs/labour-disputes/individual-labour-disputes
