Abu Dhabi: The Ritz-Carlton Hotel, Grand Canal, opens Abu Dhabi’s first kosher restaurant featuring Israeli cuisine. Here, kosher food is offered in accordance with Jewish tradition.
Judaism prohibits certain animals and birds such as fish, mussels and crabs. It is forbidden to eat meat and dairy products together. Abu Dhabi has reached an agreement with the Department of Cultural Tourism in order to offer kosher food on the UAE menu.
After the overwhelming acceptance of the UAE’s first kosher restaurant to open in Dubai last January, the branch in Abu Dhabi was also opened. It is planning to open branches in other Emirates soon.
