ABU DHABI: All UAE private sector workers have been made a holiday on the 30th this month in order to coincide with Muharram 1 (Hijri 1442), the Islamic New Year. The UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Naturalization has announced that Saturday will be a day off.

This is also in line with the decision by the UEA Cabinet that official holidays should be equally distributed between the private and public sectors. The UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Indigenization wishes everyone happy Islamic New Years.
