Sponsors who hire workers through their sponsorship for others or who permit workers to do other work to earn income will be caught.

Riyadh – The sponsor of migrant workers in Saudi Arabia is being held accountable. They could spend up to six months behind bars and face a maximum fine of 100,000 riyals. Saudi Arabia’s public safety department announced that it would ban expatriates from Saudi Arabia for up to five consecutive years.

Sponsors who hire workers through their sponsorship, and those who allow workers do other work to earn income, will be caught. If they observe any violations of immigration, employment, or residence laws in the country, authorities have asked that anyone calling 911 in Makkah or Riyadh call 999.
