Dubai: RTA Dubai Roads and Transport Authority reported that RTA’s digital services brought in Rs 350 crore revenue last year. This is 32% more than the previous year. Digital services will be offered for 309 services.

Last year, 676 million transactions were made digitally. This was 527 millions in the previous year. This was an increase of 28%. Smart apps enabled 12 lakh transactions. It has also seen a 44% increase in this area over the past year. This was due to the strong technical measures taken and the effective and constant interaction with other departments. Mathar Al Thayer, RTA chairman, stated that the success was due to the authorities’ efforts in making Dubai the smartest city on the planet. RTA digital services have been used by more than 20 lakh people. Half of these people are active users. The RTA smart app has been downloaded by 61 lakh people.

Chatbot Mahaboob provides 285 services. The result is that 40% less people call RTA‘s call centers. RTA’s digital policy included 106 projects. Only 76 of the 106 were actually implemented. 14 projects are currently in construction.

Officials said that 16 of the new regulations will be implemented within the next few months. Al Thayer stated that the RTA could be a crucial part of Dubai’s transition towards a fully paperless, digital transaction.http://www.rta.ae/
