Kuwait City Kuwait Parliament dissolved. Crown Prince Sheikh Mishal al-Ahmad al-Sabah declared the dissolution on the recommendation by Emir Sheikh Nawaf al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah. He also directed that elections be held within one month. Negotiations failed to resolve the dispute between parliament and government. They were eventually disbanded. Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Khalid al-Hamad al-Sabah submitted a resignation in April, but was accepted in May. He was asked to remain until an alternative arrangement could been made.

This resignation is in advance of a vote against the prime minister in parliament. In December 2019, Sheikh Sabah was elected Prime Minister. After the no-confidence motion, he resigned three more times and then formed a new cabinet. The current government was elected in December 2021. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Assembly_(Kuwait)
