Dubai officials say night training is mandatory for riders as most motorbike accidents occur untimely. Intensive driving training has been introduced as part of the Strict licensing process following the recent rise in motorbike accidents in Dubai. To obtain a motorbike license, delivery riders must complete 15 to 20 hours of training. In addition, at least two hours of night training is mandatory.
Abdullah Yusuf Al Ali, CEO of the Dubai Roads and Transport Authority RTA Licensing Agency, said the majority of motorbike accidents occur at night.

Al Ali added that the new changes will only apply to employees who want to obtain a motorbike license to work in the delivery sector.
He added that the RTA has decided to provide awareness classes to delivery riders on the dangers of speeding and traffic violations. According to the latest figures from the Dubai Police, the number of motorbike accidents has increased by 25 per cent from 300 in 2020 to 400 in 2021. Authorities have stepped up efforts to increase road safety.
