Abu Dhabi: The Indian rupee plunges. The Indian rupee dropped to 80.74 dollars (forex currency). This resulted in a record-breaking increase in the exchange value for Gulf currencies. The expatriates have been in a frenzy to send money to their home country from the Gulf.
On Thursday, the UAE dirham gained Rs 21.92. Yesterday’s 22.03 also reached Rs. Sending money via Emirates NBD resulted in Rs 21.86 being received. This record rate is for the dirham in comparison to the Indian rupee.
