Doha: As part of the FIFA Qatar World Cup, the road management system will be implemented to keep the country’s public transport system clean. This will be done through a link between the Road Management System and the Temporary Traffic Control Center (TTCC). State-of-the-art CCTVs and electronic traffic direction boards will be set up for traffic control at and around the World Cup venues, said Abdullah al-Khatani, operating manager of the Public Works Authority.
The transportation system is of international standard. Easy access to and return stadiums for spectators, visitors and fans. Electronic directional boards on highways, tunnels and flyovers can be very useful. Easy access to the stadium and on-ticket parking can be found on the direction boards. There is also a system to inform passengers about changes in routes and traffic status.
