Abu Dhabi: A complaint has been filed against the owner of a building by a Malayalee who rented out a flat and then drowned in her own water. A Thiruvananthapuram resident was accused of taking a fake flat for a married couple. A second case was filed against them regarding arrears in hydropower.

They took over the flat and divided the 2 families. They also did dance and babysit. Residents claimed that the couple fled the house after borrowing money from renters and paying fees from their children. The woman said that she was leaving and the man went home a week later. Since then, he hasn’t been in touch with anyone.

Residents claimed that they were contacted via WhatsApp and phone but didn’t receive any reply. Residents also stated that they were unsure if they would rent a flat in a shared apartment with other people, and are hesitant about moving to another area like this.

When the tenant drowned, the owner of the building was helping to evacuate the other tenants. They had no contact with the owner of this building and they found another location, which was a big relief for the Malayalee families.
