Kuwait City: Kuwait continues to search for illegal immigrants as well as labor law violators. According to the home ministry, 328 people were detained from different places on Friday. On Thursday, the expatriate homes were checked before dawn.

The police are investigating various cases in addition to the arrests of the offenders. The Ahmmadi saw 162 people being questioned by officials from Ahmmad Governorate’s public security department. According to the Ministry of Home Affairs’ Security Media and Public Relations, there were “various violations” in these cases.

Farwaniya Governorate saw 166 arrests. 109 were overdue residents. Three people were arrested for possessing drugs. According to the home ministry, other violations were also found in them. On the orders of Sheikh Ahmed Nawaf Al Ahmad Al Sabah, Kuwait’s Deputy Prime Minster and Minister of Interior. The Home Ministry will take strong action against those who violate various laws, including residence law violations. Special checks are being made to identify traffickers and other measures are being taken to protect both nationals and expatriates in the country.
