Dubai police return huge sum to expatriate Dubai police have reimbursed an expat who lost money on a flight. Peter Lawson, a British citizen living in Dubai, lost 70,000 dirhams while returning home via Dubai International Airport. He immediately contacted the General Department of Airport Security and within an hour the Dubai police found the money and returned it. “When I realized the money was lost in Dubai, I was sure it would be returned,” Peter told the media.

Lawson said he was not worried about his money because he had lived in Dubai for so long that he knew nothing was missing in the city.
“Dubai Police has a talented cadre that uses smart technology to ensure and enhance the safety and security of the public, and Dubai residents and visitors alike rely on the city’s security standards,” said Maj. Gen. Ali Ateeq bin Lahe, Director General of the Airport Security’s Department at Dubai Police.
