Dubai: The e-commerce sector in the UAE is booming. In the first quarter of this year alone, 1605 e-commerce licenses were issued. These figures show that the e-commerce scene in the emirate is gaining strength. According to the Dubai Economy and Tourism Department, 18013 companies have been issued e-commerce trade licenses since its inception in 2017 until last March.

Of the licenses, 13671 are for professionals. 4342 in the commercial sector. As of March this year, 1334 were in the professional and 271 in the commercial sector.
