Dubai: To catch people who do damage to Dubai’s beauty, the city council has increased inspections. This is to punish individuals and institutions that have anti-environmental tendencies. Garbage and rubbish may be dumped in public areas, spilt in public places and advertisements can be placed in ways that are detrimental to the beauty and health of the city.

Spitting in public places will result in a 500 dirham fine. Personal misconduct and violations of company policies will result in different penalties. Officials explained that the punishment for not following civil society’s guidelines is imposed by Emirates Local Law 11 (2003, 11). Officials from the city said that they have appointed officials to warn offenders and to fine them.

It is also illegal to displace garbage bins that have been set up by the municipality. This announcement was made amid concerns that people might be scavenging for garbage cans in order to collect and sell what they need. This could spread various diseases, according to the municipality.

Fines and violations

– 100 Dirhams fine for water that falls onto the street, footpath, AC or any other area.

-500 Dirhams to be used for cooking in unlicensed places

-Owners of wildlife or animals in public spaces must take them out. Infractions will lead to a 500 dirham fine.

– Spitting in public places will result in a 500 dirham fine

– The fine is 500 dirhams, even if the vehicle’s water gets into the streets.

– 1000 Dirhams fine for anyone who tries to escape by throwing rubbish or rubbish.

-One thousand dirhams fine for chewing gum or spitting in public.

-For placing unauthorized advertisements, cards or printed photos on the streets, a fine of Dh1,000 is imposed.

-Companies that attempt to remove building debris or unused technical equipment will face a Dh5,000 fine

For illegal collection, storage, and recycling of rubbish or other waste, a fine of Dh5,000 will be imposed.

Municipality has imposed a fine in the amount of 5,000 dirhams for anyone who attempts to clean public areas without permission.
