Officials said that the Doha Expo 2023 would be the largest event in Qatar following the FIFA World Cup. Qatar will host the International Horticultural Expo 2023. The Al Bida Park, Corniche is the venue for the Doha Expo. It hosts more than 80 countries and will be open from October 2023 through March 2024. Mohammed Al-Khawri, Doha Expo Secretary General, told CNBC Arabia in a interview that the event is expected to draw 30 million people. The exhibition will feature international universities and colleges in horticulture as well as Doha-based universities. This exhibition will allow researchers and universities to share their knowledge in agriculture in Qatar and the region.

With its vast experience in turning desert into green, the Botanical Garden is a popular attraction at the fair. Al-Khouri said that the Botanical Garden learns about environmental protection and irrigation-less agriculture. Expo’s theme is “Green Desert, Better Environment”. Fair attendees will be able to discuss key issues such as healthy lifestyles, sustainable lifestyles, education, and innovation.

Al Bida Park will be home to the expo, which will span 1.7 million square metres. The exhibition will be split into three areas: Cultural, International and Family. International, regional and local companies will attend the fair. The fair will include international gardens and their exhibits. There will also be traditional, recreational, cultural, and cultural events for families over 6 months. Modern Agriculture, Technology and Innovation as well as Environmental Awareness and Sustainability will be the exhibition’s theme. Its main purpose is to inform people about new ways to protect the environment, to encourage and support agriculture, and to unify the world against desertification.
