Sharjah Statistics and Community Development Department have started a new census in Sharjah. The project called “U Count” will include non-residents population as well as natives. Sharjah will benefit from the largest public census by DSCD to date. The most recent statistics about households, housing, and other infrastructure are revealed by censuses. In Sharjah, 2015, a census was taken.

Mohammed bin Humaid Al Qasimi stated that the census will prove to be very useful in improving government planning to support all sections of society. Sultan bin Abdullah bin Salem Al Qasimi stated that Sharjah has comprehensive statistics and a solid infrastructure. The census will reveal the exact accuracy of the census.

According to Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi’s vision, the census will begin according to his vision. He is a member the UAE Supreme Council and Ruler Sharjah. His goal is to improve the lives of people.

Sharjah Census 2015 Results

Sharjah’s total population is 14,05,843. Natives: 17,5,432. This includes 86,325 men and 89,098 women. They make up 12% of the population. Foreigners: 12,30,417. This includes 8,34,542 males and 3,95,875 females. 87% of total population.

When compared to each municipality, Sharjah is the most populous city. Population total 12,74,749 (90.6%). Khorfakan, with 39,151 (2.8%), is second. Kalba was ranked third with 37.545 residents (2.7%). Al Daed has 20,165 residents (1.4%). Didda Al Hin has 12,573 inhabitants (0.9%). Al Madam city has 11,120 inhabitants (0.8%) Maleeha City 4,768 inhabitants (0.3%) Al Bateh has 3,958 inhabitants (0.3%), while Al Hamriya has 3,297.
