Boat services in Abu Dhabi return to full capacity Local authorities said all tourist yachts and boats in Abu Dhabi can now operate at full capacity. “The maximum capacity of all tourist yachts and boats in Abu Dhabi has been lifted,” said Abu Dhabi Maritime, which controls the waterways and seas of the emirate.

Since November 25, 2021, boats have been able to use only 80 percent of their total registered carrying capacity. Last month, the Abu Dhabi Emergency and Crisis and Disaster Committees allowed 100% operational capacity on all commercial activities, tourist attractions and events in the emirate. But that has not changed in the case of boats. The move follows a steady decline in the number of new Kovid-19 cases.

Meanwhile, Abu Dhabi Maritime emphasized that there are other Kovid-19 security measures in place, including the green pass at the Al Hosn app. Recently, the duration of the green pass for those who have been fully vaccinated has been increased to 30 days. Passengers will be checked and confirmed by Green Status staff before starting the tour. Other safety precautions to be taken by passengers include avoiding collisions, maintaining physical distance, and wearing face masks and gloves on the boat.
