Banking Industry Public Holiday: UAE Eid-Ul-Fitr: Holidays In The Banking Sector Announced

The banking sector in the UAE has announced a holiday related to Eid al-Fitr. Eid-ul-Fitr will be a holiday for the UAE banking sector from Ramadan 29 to Shawwal 3. Banks will resume operations on Shawwal IV. Based on astronomical calculations, banks are expected to be closed from April 30 to May 4 according to the Gregorian calendar. However, dates may vary depending on the view of the moon.

The Ministry of Human Resources in Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, Ajman and Umm Al Quwain have given nine days off to public sector staff for Eid al-Fitr. Therefore, the public sector will be closed from Saturday, April 30 to Sunday, May 8. As it is a Saturday-Sunday weekend, public sector employees get nine days off.
