Doha: Indian Vice President Venkaiah Naidu has returned to Delhi after completing a three-day visit to Qatar. Sultan bin Saad Al Muraiki, Qatar’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, arrived at Doha Airport on a state visit. Indian Ambassador Dr Deepak Mittal and embassy officials were also present at the airport.

The Vice President was accompanied by his wife M. Usha on a visit to Qatar. The Vice President’s high-level delegation included Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Dr Bharathi Praveen Pawar, Rajya Sabha members Sushil Kumar Modi, Vijay Pal Singh Tamar and Lok Sabha MP P Ravindranath.

The Vice President returned after discussing the possibility of strengthening trade and commerce ties with India and inviting the Qatari business community to new investment opportunities. This is India’s first visit to Qatar as Vice President.
