ABU DHABI: Abu Dhabi police have warned of stern action against those who use mobile phones while driving. Surveillance has been intensified in the capital to catch the culprits. Those caught violating the law face a fine of 800 dirhams and four black marks. Most of the mobile phone users while driving are between 18-30 years old. Other causes of accidents include speeding, turning without warning, braking suddenly, not keeping enough distance between vehicles, and carelessness. The Abu Dhabi Police has been raising awareness on social media and elsewhere.
