Riyadh: The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development announced that employees must give 60 days notice to their employer in order to end an employment contract in Saudi Arabia.

For those who have signed an Unlimited employment contract, this is mandatory. If they want to stop working, those who have signed a fixed-term employment contract (those without a monthly salary) must give at least 30 days notice.

The employer can also terminate the relationship with the worker at the same time. However, the rules above still apply. In addition, the ministry directed that workers who fail to comply with the notice period be compensated equally with equal wages.
