Jeddah: Saudization will soon be expanded to other areas. Customer service will receive 100 percent Saudization. Saudization will take place in the mail and parcel transport outlets as well as the aviation and optical sectors. This follows earlier decisions by the Minister for Human Resource and Social Development.
Ministry sources claim that a stronger implementation of the Nitaqat Saudization program would help ensure stability in employment for employees working in private sectors. According to the report, the number of Saudis who earn a monthly salary of at least 4,000 Riyals has increased dramatically since Saudization was implemented. It will implement 100 percent Saudization in customer service jobs. It will take effect on December 17, 2018.
Saudization In Customer Service
Saudis will be able to find 4,000 new jobs through the ministry’s decision in Saudi Arabia to license aviation jobs. Two phases will be used to implement Saudization in the region. The first phase will begin on March 15, 2023. Co-pilot, controller, and transporter are all subject to 100 percent Saudization. The second phase will begin on March 4, 2024.
Saudi Arabia will receive 50 percent of all jobs in the optical industry. The law will take effect on 18 March 2023. It is estimated that 1,000 jobs will be created for Saudis by the move. These jobs include optical technician, optical laboratory technician, medical optician and optical technician. The ministry also approved localization of auto service outlets in two phases. The first phase will see 50 percent implementation, while the second phase will see 100 percent.
Saudization will be implemented in all outlets that provide services in the postal and parcel transport sectors starting 17 December 2022. This is expected to create more than 7,000 new jobs. Saudization for senior management positions at the first and second levels will be 60% and 70% respectively. Security equipment outlets are also included in the Saudization decision. Ministry sources say that the priority in implementing the Nitaqat Saudization program is to increase the appeal of Saudi workers and job-seekers to the private sector, and to improve the efficiency of the labor marketplace.
