Doha: The FIFA Qatar World Cup begins on November 20. There are still 100 days before the World Cup. Fans were excited by FIFA’s announcement that the World Cup would start one day earlier, as well as the 100-day countdown celebrations.

The FIFA World Cup Qatar begins with a match between Ecuador and Qatar. Al Bait Stadium, Alkhor will host the opening match of this World Cup on 20th November at 7.00 pm. The World Cup had been scheduled to begin on November 21. The opening match of the World Cup was decided by the Qatari host after the afternoon and morning matches.

The FIFA Bureau Council decided to begin the World Cup earlier than usual because it is the first World Cup held in the Arab World. This was in response to Qatar’s request that the World Cup match between Qatar and the host country be held as one event. After a thorough evaluation, a proclamation will be made.

The new amendment has changed the date of the match between Senegal & Netherlands from 21st December from 1.00 pm to 7.00 pm. The rules for the transfer and status of players will remain as they were on November 14. Match ticket holders will receive information via e-mail regarding the rescheduled matches. From November 20 through December 18, the FIFA World Cup matches in Qatar will be held in 8 stadiums.
